Our mission at Minibeast is to inspire men and women of all ages to live life more fully and mindfully, making small positive choices each day that lead to big results. We know it’s hard to know where to begin and to accomplish all of this in todays world, which is where we come in. We are passionate about bringing our community together to support each other and our goals. Working on becoming our best self is an on-going practice, not a destination. We are honored to share that journey with you and grow together.

Carriejune Bowlby started Minibeast as a dream in kindergarten on career day with a dream of becoming a fashion designer or "clothes designer" as she put it.
Growing up her love of fashion grew even more as she used her imagination drawing sketches of outfits, shoes, dresses and new designs in a notebook that she brought everywhere with her. She even told her best friend she would design her wedding dress one day when they got older, alongside the designer clothes for celebrities of course. Coming from a broken home with a father who passed away at a very young age, she was constantly day dreaming, looking for ways to make money, be independent and ultimately find a way out; little did she know this would continue to be her driving force.
Carriejune dealt greatly with body image issues starting at a young age with memories in Ballet where her classmates were size XS and she was always the Medium. It didn’t help that her best friend had the ideal runway model body; tall and skinny and she was short and stocky. At 9 years old Carriejune already had her first pair of dumbbells and was working out to OnDemand videos in her bedroom, thinking this would give her the confidence she was longing for. As she progressed in her fitness journey her friends started pointing out her “manly” biceps which turned her away from weight training completely. After years of trying everything possible to change herself to feel loved, she used her weaknesses as her ultimate strength. Today she shares that vision with you.
The name “Minibeast” began as a playful nickname due to Carriejune’s height and workouts. This name serves as a powerful part of her own journey, and now others are able to embrace the name themselves for strength and motivation. As a result, Minibeast was officially born in 2017, and our fitness community has been growing ever since.
At Minibeast we value quality over quantity, discipline over motivation, strength over weakness and faith over fear. We believe the past does not define you, rather prepares you for your future, God will not waste our pain.
